To strengthen consistency K-12 for asset-building in the school district, we have widened the number of staff responsible for initiating and implementing asset activities and practices within each building.
Our theme for the year is the "BACK to BASICS" Tour. The following tour dates have been established to address asset-building within the school and the community:
Tour Date #1: HOMECOMING - October 2nd - Use asset language to demonstrate the asset-building that is already occurring in our schools.
Tour Date #2: BLIZZARD OF CARING - This event will lead up to the community festival of Starshine on December 4th. Students, staff and community members will work together to create silver stars in memory of people who have a made a positive difference, Asset #14, Adult Role Models and Asset #3, Other Adult Relationships.
Tour Date #3: READING ACROSS THE COMMUNITY - This event will focus on Asset #25, Reading For Pleasure. This will coincide with Dr. Suess' birthday, March 5th.
Tour Date #4: COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY - This event will focus on Asset #9, Community Service.
