All students of the PYCSD will enjoy meals at no cost!

The District has been approved for participation in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP), which is a federal program available to school districts that have a high percentage of low income households. As long as the Penn Yan CSD qualifies to participate in the program, all breakfasts, lunches and after school snacks will be free of charge to all students.

While additional a la carte items, second meals, and adult meals will still be available for purchase, charging of these additional items is expressly prohibited under the guidelines of the Program.

Weekly Stampede

The Weekly Stampede is a weekly bulletin that includes pictures of events and achievements from the current week and a calendar of events for the upcoming week. We at the Penn Yan Central School District want students, staff and everyone in the community to be up to date on events surrounding our youth!

Annual Budget and Board of Education Results

Both the annual budget and the school transportation proposition passed by a large majority on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. The budget passed with 583 yes votes to 102 no votes and transportation passed with 581 yes votes to 107 no votes.

Here are the results of the Penn Yan Board of Education election.
Emily Dinehart - 491 votes
Alicen Yonts - 486 votes
Renee Bloom - 454 votes
Leslie Elliott - 427 votes
Aimee Perry - 427 votes
Aimee Perry withdrew from the race. Leslie Elliott has now secured the fourth seat on the board.

In light of recent events, the Penn Yan Central School District would like to reaffirm our commitment to the safety of all students and staff.
