School Board Petitions
Three (3) vacancies for the Penn Yan Central School District Board of Education are to be filled at the Annual Vote and Election of Board Members on May 16, 2023. There are two (2) three year terms available and one (1) four year term available. The person with the highest number of votes will fill the four year term. Petition forms may be obtained Monday through Friday at the District Office, located at One School Drive, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Petitions for nominating candidates for the Board of Education must be completed and filed with the District Clerk no later than Monday, April 17, 2023.

Board of Education
The Penn Yan Central School District Board of Education is comprised of 7 members. The primary responsibilities of the Board of Education include adopting and evaluating school policies, preparing and adopting a budget consistent with established policies and goals, and selecting a Superintendent of Schools who serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Board.
